Braidens 1st Letter Home
Dear Family, It's only been one day since I have been here. I have already learned so much. I feel different and I have never been so close to our Lord. It's been hard to believe that I'm a missionary. My name tag looks like my Fathers. Makes me proud to be an Ashton. I am in a trio. Elder Green from Syracuse, Utah and Elder Hornberger from Orem. I got real lucky. They are way cool. Dad, today something was said that I think you would like. A speaker said, "Obedience brings blessings. Strict obedience brings miracles." I though you would like that. I love you all very much. Thank you for all your support. I'm praying for all of you. Don't worry. I'm fine and the Spirit has never been stronger. HOORAH!! HOORAH!! HOORAH FOR ISREAL!! Down the Road, Elder Ashton.

The MTC
Well, Braiden made it. He entered the MTC today at 12:45pm. He was a little nervous but super excited. He has been waiting for this day his whole life. We all slept out in the living room last night (well I don't know about the slept part), went out to breakfast this morning and then wandered around the Provo Temple. He sure kept looking at his watch a lot. Think he was afraid they might start without him. Loved the new system of dropping them off at the MTC. No time to wallow in tears. A beautiful goodbye. Thought it would be harder. Thanks for all the support you have all given him over the years to get him to this point.
